Abuse. Neglect. Alcoholism. Drug addiction. Prostitution. Out of dark and desperate situations, the children of Piedras Negras, Mexico, arrive at the Casa de Misericordia (House of Mercy) orphanage. Since the orphanage opened in 2005, more than 180 different children have come through its doors, usually after being removed from the home by child-protective services.
