Churches Send Bookmobile to Henderson Settlement

Pastor Mark Fuerstenau and members of Mount Cory and Pleasant View United Methodist churches recently loaded two-and-a-half tons of books onto an old school bus and trailer bound for Henderson Settlement in Frakes, KY. Three years ago, Fuerstenau went to White Oak, TN, a satellite mission of Henderson Settlement, where he got the idea for the bookmobile. More than 4,000 books were donated by nearby communities. Henderson Settlement ministries include thrift stores, craft shop, farmer's market, food pantry, utility & medical bill assistance, after-school programs, youth ministries, sports teams, senior center, and new mother support, among others.
