Lay Servant Training Opportunities

Lay Servant Training Events Lay Servant Ministries is one of the most significant lay leadership development programs already available within the United Methodist connection. Through this system of equipping and empowering, lay servants have the opportunity to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ who then go and make other disciples

*Lay Servant Ministry Training Opportunities occur in the Northwest Plains District every March, April, and October.  Occassionally training opportunities are available during the summer as well. These courses are open to all interested persons, laity and clergy. 

*CORE Courses are required to become a Lay Speaker. All courses may be used for re-certification for Certified Lay Servants if they have not already taken the course.

*October 23, 2021 "Go Preach (Part 2) (CORE)" - led by Rev.  Dr. David Chivington - From 8:30am-4:30pm via ZOOM (Registration deadline October 1, 2021)

*October 16, 2021 "Spritual Gifts" (CORE)" - led by Rev. Dr. Alice Kay Lovelace - From 8:30am-4:30pm via ZOOM (Registration deadline October 1, 2021)
